If you need an art mentor, someone to hold you accountable, or just someone to give you permission and point you towards the right resources in a supportive and
non-judgemental way, I can help.
Let's explore, demystify, and grow your art practice!
I am a working artist with over twenty years of experience and dedication to my own studio practice in the United States and the United Kingdom. I believe that art is for all and I want to help demystify the art world one conversation at a time.
1999 University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, BFA Painting, Cum Laude
My paintings are in collections throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
My work has been featured in over twenty solo exhibitions and has appeared in over thirty group shows, and has been featured in various publications throughout my career.
My work was purchased by the American cable network HBO, and used in season three of their award-winning series, “True Detective.” Most recently, I have had my paintings purchased by PAPER+WHITE, an award-winning interior design and art consultancy with studios in London’s East End and Cambridgeshire.
Along with painting, I write about art weekly in my Friday Studio Blog which I have maintained since 2007. I also publish weekly Tuesday Studio Video Visit Vlogs.
I was a Co-Artistic Director at the Fayetteville Underground in the United States from 2009-2012. My work there was focused on exhibition curation, gallery, and studio management within a collective setting. I have curated international exhibitions, installed art, given art talks and lectures, mentored and encouraged artists all while maintaining my own studio practice. I also helped to prepare for our successful and well attended monthly first Thursday openings. I maintained the Fayetteville Underground blog, social media, and regularly gave interviews to promote our artists, exhibitions, and special events. I have a wealth of experience I would love to share with you!
I was born and raised in Fayetteville Arkansas, earned a BFA with honours in painting from the University of Oregon, and currently, live and work in Edinburgh, Scotland.
